School Programmes

Relax Kids Belfast, delivers structured wellbeing programmes to support children and teens in developing emotional literacy, resilience, and self-regulation. Each session is built around the proven Relax Kids 7 Steps to Relaxation, a unique framework that gently guides participants from high energy to deep calm. Our sessions fit easily into the school day and align with PDMU, PSHE, and mental health strategies. They can be run as a one off workshop but studies suggest that a term of 4 or 6 weeks work best, all programmes are supported with Relax Kids resources.

The Relax Kids 7 Steps to Relaxation

1. Move – Wake up the body with fun, energising movement

2. Play – Build connection through cooperative mindfulness games and activities

3. Stretch – Release tension with simple yoga stretches and poses

4. Feel – Explore and express emotions

5. Breathe – Learn breath techniques to settle the mind and

6. Believe – Boost confidence with positive affirmations and mindset work

7. Relax – End with a guided visualisation stories to bring deep calm

Relax Kids  - Little Stars (Ages 3–4)

Little Stars programme introduces early years children to the basics of relaxation, using gentle movement, storytelling, music, and imagination. Sessions are playful yet calming, ideal for helping little ones build self-awareness, understand and manage big feelings in fun ways using colourful props and resources. Popular themes which include  ‘My Feeling Friends’, ‘My World’, 

Benefits:

• Encourages empathy and kindness

• Helps children feel safe, calm, and ready to learn

Perfect as a morning settling session or post-lunch calm-down activity.

Relax Kids - Magical Adventures (Ages 5–8)

Magical Adventures blends movement, mindfulness games yoga, self or peer massage, belly breathing and guided relaxation to take younger primary pupils on a journey of emotional discovery and with lots fun themes, some popular ones include -  Mighty Monster Emotions, (All About Emotions). ‘Brilliant Me’ (All about Identifing Your Brilliance!), ‘Well-being Warriors’ (All about Resilience, Emotional Regulation, Gratitude and Growth Mindset).  Again these are all suported with posters, stickers, and lots of colouful props.

Benefits:

• Develops emotional language and regulation

• Builds positive relationships and social skills

• Enhances creativity, focus, and classroom behaviour

Ideal for weekly wellbeing sessions, golden time, or as part of the curriculum or well-being events such as Children’s Mental Health Week, Anti-bullying programmes, etc.

Chill Skills (Ages 9–11)

Chill Skills equips older school children with emotional intelligence tools and techniques for handling anxiety, friendships, and academic pressures. Sessions include discussion, breathwork, journaling, affirmations, and deep relaxation.

Benefits:

• Reduces stress and emotional overwhelm

• Builds resilience and confidence

• Supports a smooth transition to secondary school

Fits seamlessly into PDMU/PSHE lessons, nurture groups, or after-school clubs.

Chill Skills Plus (12-Teens)

Chill Skills Plus supports teens with practical mental wellbeing strategies tailored to the teenage audience. Sessions focus on stress management, anxiety, emotional awareness, cultavating a positive mindset, and relaxation in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

Benefits:

• Helps reduce exam stress and anxiety

• Encourages self-reflection and emotional maturity

• Improves concentration, motivation, and overall wellbeingCan be delivered as part of KS3/KS4 wellbeing, pastoral programmes, or targeted interventions.

1-1 Tailored Sessions

Is your child struggling with their mental health,  or maybe just figuring out how to deal with BIG emotions? Then these bespoke and personalised sessions support children aged 5 - 13 who are experiencing issues with anxiety, anger management, low confidence, resilience, sleep issues, emotional regulation, negative thoughts, family changes or SEAG exam worries and unlike other childrens services, there is no long waiting times! 

 

Delivered in a safe, nurturing space in the centre of Ballyhackamore where your child is gently guided through many practical tools and stratigies they can use daily to feel more calm, confident and in control. Supported with resources to use at home such as posters, personalised recored visualisations, affirmation cards and much more.  They can be themed to your childs interest and hobbies for more enjoyment. So whether your wee one is mad about Mindcraft, a fan of football, likes all thing girly, nature or Harry Potter....I have it covered.

 

You don’t need to be in the room during these session but can wait closeby, I will recap the session with you at the end and give you information on how you can be supporting your child at home.

I recommend doing at least 3 x 50 minute sessions to ensure any issues are resolved. Check out my testimonials for lots of success stories.

Family Well-being Sessions.

Our Family Wellbeing Sessions are a unique opportunity for families to bond, unwind, and learn relaxation techniques together in a calm and supportive environment. These sessions are designed to help parents and children connect through shared mindfulness practices, movement, games, affirmations, and guided relaxation.

Each session is suitable for up to 2 adults and 2 children (ages 5+), making it a perfect way for families to create calm, strengthen relationships, and build emotional resilience together.

Sessions can take place in the comfort of your own home if you have more than two children or at my relaxing practice space in Ballyhackamore. Whether you're looking to manage stress, improve communication, or simply enjoy quality time together, these sessions are a wonderful way to nurture family wellbeing.

Community and Youth Services

In addition to working with schools, Relax Kids Belfast proudly offers wellbeing programmes to a wide range of community organisations including youth clubs, community groups, charities, councils, and health trusts.

Our sessions are ideal for supporting emotional wellbeing, self-esteem, and mental health in young people from all backgrounds. Programmes can be tailored to suit the needs of your group, whether you're working with children, teens, or vulnerable youth. We offer one-off workshops, ongoing programmes, and themed wellbeing sessions that can be delivered in person in .
